Innovative supermarket

Super de Boer van Wincoop, a supermarket from Holland, has become the winner of the Excellent Detail Award 2008. Owner Jan van Wincoop has consciously made the choice to let his clients help him and involve them when he started to decorate his new supermarket. This was a real success!

It is not only the way that he is caring for his customers, but also the way van Wincoop is innovative with new products and services. Many retailers are scared to loose space in their stores, but van Wincoop isn’t. He invested in six Mini Mike’s. A Mini Mike is an interactive play computer to put in the shelve.

With this interactive play computer you can improve the routing in your store. The children can play a game when they sit in front of the shelve. Most of the time they will become more quiet, so the parents have less trouble with them and they can spend more time and money in the supermarket.

For the youngest children is a kids corner available. They can watch a movie or play with one of the different play modules. To create a friendly and familiar look, Instore Kids Corners’ design team made a customized background for this supermarket.
